Dear Pleasant Students, Parents, Staff and Community:
This coming school year, the Pleasant cafeterias will meet tough new federal nutritional standards for school meals. These standards ensure that meals are healthy, well balanced and provide students with all the nutrition they need to succeed at school. Now is a good time to choose school breakfast and lunch!
*Age-appropriate calorie limits
*Larger servings of fruits and vegetables students must take at least 1 serving of produce
*A wide variety of vegetables including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes
*More whole grains
*Less sugar and sodium per serving
We are always working to offer Pleasant students and staff healthier and flavorful choices.
School meals are a great value and a huge convenience for busy families!

All Elementary students will receive a free and reduced application on the first day of school Applications will also be available at Open House on August 18, 2026
If you qualify for a free and reduced breakfast/lunch your child(ren) will receive a complete breakfast/lunch. If your child(ren) choose only a milk he/she will be charged $0.60. Please check your student(s) account balance online at
www.myschoolbucks.com.
Pleasant Local Schools encourage parents/guardians to keep their child(ren) accounts up to date.
At the elementary school, if the students’ lunch account is negative, a letter will be sent home stating the negative balance amount.
At the secondary school, if the students’ lunch account is negative, the cashier will notify them at the time they come through the line. They will not be allowed to purchase ala carte items with a negative balance. Occasionally, emails will be sent out letting the parent/guardian know that their students accounts are a negative balance.
